Kindling is going back down for maintenance due to persistent bugs. We'll work on bringing it back as soon as we can.
You can now change the opacity (transparency) of your rabbits' chimeric markings using the Chimera Core.
The cores have been given an artwork update, and the new chimera marking-changer item has been added as a core.
If you don't see the updated images, you can clear your cache and that will update them.
Mosaic and Chimera masks have been updated to work with the new system! The old system relied heavily on randomization, whereas the new one allows for greater control over genes, modifiers, and the markings themselves on chimeras/mosaics. So the Mosaic Masks now apply a fixed pattern (which you can alter with the chimera marking changing item), and hidden modifiers will be copied from your rabbit's mainmodifiers (which can be changed with chimera snowflakes). The chimera side genes will be set to aa BB CC DD EE enen VV (a black rabbit) unless you select split DNA at the same time.
With the addition of almost double the amount of color-changing items we used to have, the formerly named 'Gems & Genes' shop has been split into three different shops.
DNA Mart - unlocked at level 100, this shop stocks strictly DNA items (no snowflakes or crystals) and is tied to the Townside lore-wise as this is a busy human area!
Gem Shop - This shop is tied to the Mystic Grove lore-wise, being that it contains natural color-changing items like crystals and snowflakes. It's unlocked at level 110 accordingly.
Chimera Market - This is a special new shop that has the chimeric versions of Snowflakes, Crystals, and DNA (which are no longer cluttering up the other shops). It can be unlocked by finding a chimera. This is a new feature that tracks when chimeras are found. We did not previously record this information, so anyone who currently has a chimera on the site (regardless of how they were obtained) should have access to this shop. In the future, though, you will only get access gto the shop after finding your own chimera/mosaic (either through breeding or explore).
You can now control different sides of a chimera (or mosaic) separately! They have their own new set of hidden modifiers and genetics.
There is a new line of snowflakes just for chimeras, which can be found either in the two snowy explore areas, or in the Gems & Genes NPC shop. They can be applied the same way as regular snowflakes, but will only effect the chimera side.
There is a new line of DNA for chimeras as well that will stock in the Gems & Genes shop. You can use them the same way you use regular DNA.
Chimeras and Mosaics also now have a set of 'chimera markings' that you can switch between if you have a marking changer item. This new item is being pre-released to aid in the chimera update, it is still just a placeholder and will get its own artwork and permanent placements later. For now, you can get them in Lunar's Shop (will be restocked if needed) and the Spirit Tree.
On a side note, we're working on other fantastic updates to other markings. There's some great stuff coming! But for now, Jay, Skunk, and Tiger rabbits will not be found in explore (you can still get the stones in explore, this is just in regards to the rabbits who spawn). We're going through a transition at the moment, they will come back later (and you can still use stones in the meantime).
Mosaic and Chimera Masks will be temporarily down.
If you encounter any bugs, report them to the bug forum.
There is a new feature in the works that will allow you to edit the chimeric side of a chimera. With this, there will be a new line of snowflakes to use just for chimeras!
The feature is not out yet, but you'll start finding these Split Snowflakes in the Gems & Genes Shop. You can start collecting thewm now for future use.
We have made some fixes to caching issues when altering your rabbits' images. Previously, you might have had to clear your cache to view updated rabbit images. This should no longer be required. If you have any issues with images not being updated, you can report it to the bug reports forum.
There is a new type of Chimerism you can now find! These are Mosaic rabbits, which have the patterns of two different rabbits meshed into one . They are technically a chimera, but instead of having their pattern split down the middle, it is split similar to the Harlequin markings (in a patchwork design).
This can result in many different color combinations, including two different colors within the same eye.
Mosaics can be found naturally in explore and from breeding the same way chimeras can (with the same odds). The formerly named Chimera shroom has been renamed the Split Shroom and can be used to increase the odds for either color. You can also now get Mosaic Masks in the credit store as a limited availability item.
Harlequins are finally here! You can now get them in the Townside area as well as Roadside, Soulful Pond, and Spirit Tree.
Explore rabbits may sometimes hold Harlequin DNA. Harlequin DNA will also be available in a new DNA shop (coming soon).
Harlequin genetics can cause many different colors including Tricolor and Magpie. You can read up on how the gene works in the genetics guide.
This is a final heads up (we posted one previously but want to be extra sure that everyone knows what's coming) that some Quickbuy items are going to be removed soon.
Originally, the Quickbuy feature was added because there were no other features on Warrenz through which you could obtain items (no shops or forage). A lot of features have been added since, and items are no longer impossible to obtain. We'll keep the quickbuy feature, but it'll be for 'super essential' items that you may need in an emergency.
Items that will Stay in Quickbuy:
- Aloe Vera
- Name Stone
- Seashells (no scallops)
- Reversion Seed
- Shadow of a Doubt
- Gender Stone
- Rainbow Snowflake (no other snowflakes)
- Skull (no other rabbit bones)
- Canine Tooth, Feline Tooth, and Talon (no Human Tooth)
- Oregano, Parsley, and Rosemary (no other herbs)
- Romaine Lettuce, Bananas (no other fruits/veg/berries) - DNA for A (agouti), B (black), C (fullcolor), D (dense), E (fullext), en (solid), and V (nonvienna). There will be a new shop for DNA and crystals that will be added at the same time we update Quickbuy.
Prices will stay the same.
Quickbuy is going to be updated very soon, so make sure that you have everything you want from the Quickbuy if you want to get any stuff last minute.
New variations have been added to the random name generator. Although it's not the norm, you will sometimes encounter rabbits with names that contain 1 or 3 words instead of 2.
There is a new, additional perk for upgraded players. You can now see 4 rabbits/predators at a time when exploring areas.
If you already have an upgrade, this will have already taken effect.
You can now apply changes directly from the Crystal Cave! Either use the items in your den, or select the credits option to get custom bunnies.
The Kindling feature is back up, you can go back to breeding. If you encounter any bugs, please let us know in the bug reports forum.
You can now get Tiger markings on the Backside Sit pose!
The Kindling feature will be down for maintenance while we fix bugs.
You can still access your litter pages, but no rabbits can be bred during this time.
If you experience aging-related issues, please let us know in the bug reports forum.
If you have already read the Terms of Service, the only change is the addition of a section on 'Posting Warrenz Rabbit Images.' This section states that you can post Warrenz rabbit images offsite as long as watermarks are left in tact and the credit is given. This is meant to ensure all artists will be properly credited (as shown in the acknowledgements page).
